About

I recently graduated from the University of Mary Washington (UMW) with a B.A. in Communication and Digital Studies and a minor in Business Administration. While at UMW, I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board, and Lambda Pi Eta honor societies and graduated Summa Cum Laude with University and Departmental Honors. I completed courses such as Not-for-Profit Communication Campaigns, Digital Approaches to Fine Arts, Digital Marketing, Media Production for Social Change, Health Communication, and News Journalism that provided me with numerous skills and experiences that I have become passionate about. Through these accomplishments, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic and personal excellence, qualities I am committed to bringing into my professional career.

Most recently, I served as a Communications Assistant at the Government Technology & Services Coalition (GTSC). In this role, I supported both GTSC and Homeland Security Today through targeted email marketing and strategic social media content. I also maintained and updated organizational websites, crafted original news pieces, and helped coordinate member outreach and events. This experience strengthened my skills in digital and interpersonal communication, content creation, and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

With a solid foundation in communication strategies, digital tools like Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress, and a passion for meaningful work, I’m now looking for my next opportunity to grow professionally and contribute to a values-driven team. I am excited to bring my passion for communication, coupled with my strong professional and academic experiences, to a new role.
